How Imgvert works

Imgvert is a browser-based image tool. You choose a file, the browser decodes it, the converter renders pixels to a canvas, and the browser creates a downloadable output.

Private by design

The source file is processed locally in the current browser session. Imgvert does not need an upload endpoint for conversion. Optional product analytics records page and tool events, not image bytes; see the privacy page.

Important boundaries

• Still-image output is not animation or frame extraction.
• EXIF, ICC, HDR, depth, auxiliary images and multi-page data are not guaranteed to survive a canvas re-encode.
• Output dimensions and file size depend on the source and browser encoder.
